Refund Policy
We currently sell in one place: our GritBench shop on Etsy. Etsy processes the payment, so Etsy’s refund process governs the transaction. Here’s how that works in practice — and how we help.
1. Where refunds happen
Every purchase of our products today runs through Etsy. That means:
- Etsy’s policies govern the transaction. Refund requests go through Etsy’s order help flow, and Etsy’s policies for digital downloads apply. Etsy, not us, operates the payment and refund system.
- You can always start with us instead. Email support@talkingscientistventures.com and we’ll help you sort it out, including walking you through Etsy’s process where that’s the route a refund has to take.
If we ever sell through additional channels, we’ll name them here with their own refund process before sales begin. The version of this policy in force when you bought governs that purchase.
2. Where we stand
Digital goods can’t be “returned,” and marketplace default policies for digital downloads reflect that. Even so, our position is simple: if a product doesn’t do what its listing says it does, we want you to have your money back. When the process gives us discretion over a refund request, that’s the standard we apply. Nothing on this page limits any refund or cancellation rights the law of your place of residence gives you.
3. How to ask
- Start with Etsy’s order help flow (your receipt or order page links to it), or email us first if you’re not sure — either is fine.
- Email support@talkingscientistventures.com with your order number and what went wrong.
- We aim to respond within two business days — often with a fix, and with help getting the refund through Etsy’s process when a refund is the right answer.
4. What refunds can’t cover
- Purchases made somewhere we don’t sell — if someone re-sold you our product against our terms, we can’t refund a payment we never received, though we’d like to hear about it.
- Requests outside the window Etsy’s policy allows, where its process gives us no discretion — subject always to your rights under applicable law.
5. Changes
If we add sales channels or our practices change, we’ll update this page and its effective date, and each dated version applies to purchases made while it was in force. The current version always lives at this address.
